Professional Film Experience
Producer and Director, Song of the Cicada. Galveston, Texas. This feature length documentary follows mortician Dale Carter, as he struggles to save his decaying Victorian home. Dale’s grand plans and aristocratic pretensions are called into question when he is pulled back into a harsh reality brought on by a series of devastating losses.
Producer and film instructor, Ike: A Documentary, The Story of a Torn City Rebuilt by Everyday Heroes. Galveston, Texas. Feature length documentary film about hurricane Ike made in collaboration with the students at Ball High School. The film garnered widespread attention and was featured on Good Morning America and NPR’s All Things Considered.
